Class Descriptions for Group Exercise Classes

Active Older Adults: A 30-minute class designed with seniors in mind that incorporates low-impact exercises for the upper and lower body, designed to improve flexibility and strength throughout the body.

Body Sculpt: A 30 minute class which combines, step aerobics, floor aerobics and strength training designed to get that heart pumping, while having FUN too!

Mix It Up!: An ever-changing class, featuring aerobics, dance aerobics, kickboxing, step or circuit training. Guaranteed to be a great workout for the body and brain.

Pilates (All Levels): A multi-level approach from basic to advanced Pilates matwork exercises that help participants gain improved posture, increased balance, improved muscular balance, strengthened abdominals and back, and mental focus.

Pilates (Intermediate/Advanced): A Pilates matwork class for more experienced participants. It is recommended that participants have attended the All Levels class first, although not required.

Stability Ball: This class is designed to provide a challenge to improve core muscle strength and endurance using medicine and stability balls. The class may also integrate other resistance equipment.

Steptastic: 30 minutes of step training for all levels. Come prepared for a GREAT workout!

Step-n-Tone: Provides traditional step training, coupled with strength training exercises using hand-weights, resistance bands, stability balls, and FUN!

Total Body Blast: This class incorporates concepts from any of the class descriptions, at the discretion of the instructor, and generally includes both cardiovascular and strength/toning components. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Tai Chi: A relaxing, beginner level class that promotes improved circulation, flexibility, and balance.

SilverSneakers®-Muscle Strength and Range of Movement: Muscular Strength & Range of Movement is a trademarked group exercise class designed for older adults. Exercises include work for all major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power.

Youth Circuits: Attention all youth ages 10-16! This class is for you! This 30-minute low-impact class is targeted to youth ages 10-16 years. This class focuses on proper exercise form and proper breathing techniques. Also may incorporate different resistance equipment for a total body workout.

 

Class Descriptions for Aquatic Classes

Fit & Fun: Use the resistance of water for a challenging, yet fun aerobic workout. Don't like to sweat? Get wet!

H²o Combo: A full body cardio workout that targets cardio conditioning and strength training which incorporates key fitness components to help maintain and improve overall fitness.

Joints in Motion: This exercise program is designed specifically for those who suffer from arthritis, sports injuries or other forms of joint discomfort. This class is low-key, yet very beneficial as it increases flexibility and strengthens muscles.
